The Marlborough Community Vehicle Trust (MCVT) is a charitable trust operated 100% by volunteers.
Our mission is to provide safe, reliable, and affordable transportation services for people in Marlborough who need to travel to medical appointments within the Nelson Marlborough region. As a registered charitable organisation, we strive to improve the quality of life for Marlburians.
You can expect professionalism and care from each of our trained and vetted volunteer drivers. With over 2,000 successful trips completed since our founding in 2016, you can count on us to get you there.
Travel with us is available to anyone in Marlborough via a $20 membership fee.

Where do we take you?
Our drivers can take Marlborough residents to medical appointments including bone scans, optometry, dental work, physiotherapy and any other health appointment. We make regular trips to providers such as:
Nelson Hospital
Manuka Street Hospital
Wairau Hospital
Churchill Hospital and Specialist Centre
Marlborough Medical Imaging
Pacific Radiology Nelson
You might have a medical appointment at another health provider in the Nelson Marlborough region. That’s okay! We can take you there too.

Gavin and I would like to thank you all at Marlborough Vehicle Trust for the outstanding care and support shown to both of us but especially to Gavin since April 2022.
The trust provided transport to Nelson Dialysis Unit 3 times a week approximately 190 trips. Gavin could probably drive blind folded.
All the drivers have been amazing people, always smiling, positive, keen to drive. Gavin enjoyed all the chats, learning about you all and I know you all know everything about Gavin as well.
This service has been incredible. Special thanks to the vehicle coordinators, Kevin and Ian who used Picton drivers often.
However the continual trips to Nelson has taken a toll on Gavin’s health so we have decided to move to Feilding to be closer to the hospital, it will be less travel time so Gavin can do more things during the day. We have family in Feilding, which is a bonus.
Thanks for everything, we really appreciate it. We would like recognise all the Trust and give a donation. Use it anyway but maybe an afternoon tea for you all.
